In such a system, we make crucial decisions about the distribution of these rewards. Because in the absence of a hierarchy, I think how to correctly rewarded is an important means of regulating social equilibrium. First of all, I think the highest percentage will be all those who do creative work. On the one hand, I believe that they are an important group of people who can play a role in social progress, and at the same time, they are also a scarce ability. Encouraging innovation is necessary. The second most important thing I think is all the basic work that helps society to function properly, such as most of the manufacturing and agricultural jobs. A high level of technical competence is also an uncommon and difficult to cultivate ability, and this part of the population will receive another part of the rewarded. Finally, the surplus, including services, requires more flexible and comparatively easier competencies with less distribution.
I think hierarchy, while it has significant problems, is also a huge role it can play. Its existence allows society to form a large and concentrated collective. Hierarchy is an effective means of maintaining a society of large size at the same time, but at the same time centralizing. Such a simple hierarchical relationship can make things run more efficiently. The irreplaceable efficiency of all this hierarchy is the reason for support.
But on the other hand, the nature of this efficiency makes it violate the core of morality, freedom, and the key contradiction between the two is irreconcilable. Freedom, individualism, and an integral part of American values is Davis-Moore's model as an ideal society that people aspire to.
